Here i will describing to you how to upgrading Android on your Samsung Galaxy Note II. The benefits of doing this update is that we can get the latest updated and its features that available. Recently Samsung has launched "Firmware Update" for Samsung Galaxy Note II with new Android System Operation called Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2. The new of this Android version is there are new user interface called "TouchWiz", faster Browsing, and there are new Split screen where you can run two application on same time on the different screen.

How to upgrade to Android Jelly Bean
Here you can do this upgrade by two option, first, over the air (OTA) and second, via USB cable using Samsung Kies. And i recommended you to upgrade using second option, "Samsung Kies".
Before you go to upgrade process, i will explain to you what is Samsung Kies and its features. Samsung Kies is a proprietary software from Samsung for managing your phone from your computer. With this software you can upload the content of your phone like video, image, calendar, contact, and SMS to your Computer. So, Samsung Kies can sync your digital life to your computer. If you don't have Samsung Kies before, then you may follow some steps later to install Samsung Kies to your computer. Remember that you have charge your phone until it full and then in the future the upgrading you have made no any errors occurs after the upgrading.
To install Samsung Kies you must be connected to the Internet and download the Samsung Kies to your computer by typing this URL:

Then you will see a download button there, simply click "Download Kies" button. Once downloaded, you will get .exe setup, double click on it then wait until finished. After that open the Samsung Kies and connect your fully charge phone with microUSB. Then Samsung Kies should detect your phone and checked your phone for available update. Before upgrading your phone its good to you to save all important data from "Back up" menu.
To back up your data
From "Back up / Restore" tab menu, choose whatever that's important from your data or just select "Select all items" if you are unsure. After that click the "Back up" button to begin. Wait until you get a pop up messages that tell you the back up finished and click finish and you are done.
Now back to "Basic Info" menu where under the "Firmware information" you will see an orange button that said "Firmware upgrade". Press that button then a warning messages tell you that before you do this you must fully charge your phone and back up all your data. Along the upgrade process don't attached all others devices and not disconnected your USB cable both your computer and phone. Checked the box says that's you are have read all information then click "Start Upgrade".
This will take the time about 5-30 minutes depending on your Internet connections speed. While the upgrade process just left itself and don't doing anything task on your computer. It's good to prevent any mistakes by leaving both computer and phone until they completed the "Firmware upgrade". Once completed you will see a last pop up says that "Firmware upgrade" have been completed and describe what about Android version and your phone name.
Last step is click "OK", your phone will be reboot and you are done.
To see which version of Android you have just go to "Settings", now you can see the version on "About phone" under "Android Version".
